March 26, 2013

Well this week hasn't really been the best progress-wise. I have been in Jamaica since Saturday and trust me I'm not complaining about that at all, but I've had no way to finish my final product since I had to leave all my sewing stuff at home. It's also been extremely hard to research anything because the internet connection is SOOO TERRIBLE. It took about 10 minutes just for this to load and I'm sure it will take another hour just for this blog to post. Anyway, there isn't really much to report for this week but in a few days when I come back it will really be time for me to get everything together and finish my final product! Excited to see how it turns out! Wish me luck(:

Lucky! Did you see Jack? :p
I sympathize with you so much on the whole "not being able to work on your project" thing. It really sucks.
Good luck with your skirt and stuff!
And also TED talks. That too.
I think its really cool that you're making stuff that's actually usable!
Wanna make a sweater for my cat?

I think that yours and my project have a lot in common! I think that fashion and beauty industries CAN be undermined a lot, but there is a lot of art in both of them! In fashion, the creativity and design along with construction, and then the design and execution/painting of nails. Both things are very important forms our daily lives.

Jenny, I have also been out of the country and have encountered most of the problems you have. It is hard to work away from home, without sufficient internet connection and silence! Anyway, your project seems pretty interesting. I have had a little experience through school with sewing, and I did enjoy learning the stitches and such to an extent. You seem to be enjoying the products you are creating (pajama pants), and I wish you luck. Try not to break your sewing machine as much (haha)!
